Step two involves gathering the ingredients that you will need. Typically the materials needed to make soap can range from soap base chips. If you want to make clearn and transparent soap, then make the soap base chips you purchase are of the clear kind. Next you will need to get the frangance of your choice, any soap additives that you will need, and ofcourse soap making molds.
The third step on how to make soap is to get yourself a crock pot or a double boiler so that you can start the melting process. Using indirect heat, go ahead and melt the soap base thoroughly. Once the soap base has been melted completely, you can then add in the fragance oil of your choice.
Step four requires you to pour the melted soap base and fragrance oils into the soap mold that you will be using. Depending on the size of the soap molds, your base may be just enough for one unless you are planning on making small hotel like soaps. For the next 24 hours, allow the soap base to stand in the molds while they cool and form.
Finally, the last step in the soap making method is to allow the soap to cure. This process allows the soap to soften and mature, making the soap milder and delicate on the skin due to the softening of the glycerin.
